Morreu Sven-Goran Eriksson, o histórico treinador do futebol mundial e do Benfica.

Faleceu ao início da manhã desta segunda-feira, aos 76 anos de idade, na sequência de uma longa batalha contra um cancro no pâncreas, que se encontrava já em fase terminal.

Eriksson foi diagnosticado com cancro de pâncreas em janeiro deste ano, altura em que os médicos lhe disseram que, «na melhor das hipóteses», teria um ano de vida.
