Irmãs morrem em aparatoso acidente em Amarante

Duas irmãs morreram esta sexta-feira na sequência de um despiste em Amarante, na freguesia de Aboim e Chapa. Há ainda a registar um ferido em estado grave.

As vítimas, todas com mais de 80 anos, seguiam num veículo ligeiro que, ao não fazer uma curva na Rua do Pinheiro, entrou em linha reta por uma ribanceira com cerca de 25 metros de extensão.

As duas vítimas mortais são irmãs naturais de Amarante, de 84 e 88 anos, avança o Jornal de Notícias. Acrescenta que o condutor, de 83 anos e marido de uma das vítimas, foi transportado em estado grave para o hospital.

No local estiveram os Bombeiros Voluntários de Amarante e a GNR, que tomou conta da ocorrência e está a investigar as circunstâncias do acidente.
