Papa Francisco vem a Portugal e visita Fátima em 2023

O Papa Francisco tem agendada uma visita a Fátima, no âmbito da participação nas Jornadas Mundiais da Juventude, em 2023, que decorrerão em Lisboa.

O anúncio foi feito esta sexta-feira pelo Presidente da República, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, após uma audiência privada na Cidade do Vaticano.

«Foi, como tinha sido há cinco anos, uma ocasião para ver como o Papa está atento a tudo. […] Falou, como é evidente, da ida a Portugal em 2023, a Lisboa e a Fátima – acrescentou logo – nas Jornadas Mundiais da Juventude», disse o chefe de Estado.

Notando que o Sumo Pontífice está em «grande forma física e psíquica», Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa relatou que o papa está, ainda assim, «naturalmente preocupado com os efeitos sociais da crise» gerada pela pandemia de Covid-19.
